All things work together....

Romans 8:28 It reminds me of times when I was a little girl going to elementary school.  Everyday coming home from school I was chased by three different types of dogs.  You can imagine as a young girl what went through my mind.  At the beginning of the street was a Great Dane that was loose that would chase me all the way to the middle of the street where I was approached by a German Shepherd behind a fence.  At the end of the street were the smallest dogs- Chihuahua 3 in number. Believe it or not this was the safest street to travel home from school.  When I look back on those days I also looked at how God was preparing me for my future.  I had a track scholarship that paid for 85% of my college education and the  reminder was in academic scholarships.  What a faithful God we serve.  Take the time to read Romans 8:28 and share one of your stories.

Dealing with loss

It is a hard walk to do on a daily basis.  Our faith and hope keeps every step moving forward.  A long lived life all the way to the end.  It is amazing how faithful God is in death.  My faith grows when I am allowed to see the many miracles around me.

Spring Cleaning

Many times as moms we concentrate on cleaning our physical homes in the name of spring cleaning, however I challenge you to think about spring cleaning with your children in mind.  Give them healthy observations of good friends, great life choices and memorable improvements in their personal life.  Be the example not the drill sergeant and be the lead not the enabler.  These are the moments that bring life to your family.

Healthy thoughts

We can't determine our health. I say that with real conviction, because I'm know people that became ill and had zero signs and at doctor appointment found out the unthinkable.  But God... When God gives you a sound mind, you better appreciate and share with as many people as you can.  Don't hold back the family recipes LOL... Be a healthy thinker by SHARING with others.  My girls love to share and it makes me happy.

Do not be surprised

One of my daughters told me today that three huge projects she worked on for science were marked with zeros because she forgot to put her last name.  She is normally a straight A student and on her report card she received a B.  I wondered to myself how much time wad spent in the mind of the teacher to decide to give her a zero 3 times especially since she is the only one that has that name in the entire school.  I told my daughter not to be surprised by actions and that she must be complete in all her work and to write her entire name before she starts the projects.  I wish I could know what the projects would have been graded.

Love more

I gave my girls a huge hug.  I want them to know that they are loved in times in my presence as well as when we are away from one another.

Life Dreams

I love those days of vacation from work and regular scheduled activities.  It helps you teach lessons about being grateful for the little things.  The very breath we release from our bodies outward to the universe.  Our lives are so busy yet it takes moments like this to make you realize that the world is huge.  Take time to appreciate the little things.

Life lessons

My girls are wonderful mirrors of the lessons taught and the way they are interpreted.  By observing and asking them of their understanding, I am then readjusting the lesson in hopes it will provide a great foundation.  I am thankful to be their mom.  Today was a great day of life lessons.

Life appreciations...

It is amazing how my girls grow in similar but different ways.  I think as a mom, it is my business to notice the very essence of my girls.  What is meant in a laugh, cry, scream or even in silence.  I have the awesome experience to accept this knowledge.  I know that I am blessed to have days of appreciation for my girls.  When I can look back and remember incredible moments with them.  I am smiling so wide right now because that is a memory that will last forever.  Share your thoughts.

Life Lessons

Life seems strange when you look back at your childhood.  You wonder why you remember some things and not remember everything.  I believe that we are actually remembering things that will help us at different stages of our life.  Like being a mom.  Never imaged being a mom, but here I am.  No experience raising my younger sister, but used a lot of what of I wanted to be treated and how I felt after experiences as a little girl - created the mom I am today.

First lesson - Communication
Communication builds trust, respect and love.
Idea:  Start writing to your children in a journal.  Start with a question for them to answer and then leave it under their pillow.  Make sure you start with simple easy topics:  The 3 things I love about you...is a great starting topic.
